A wood-boring insect inspection, commonly referred to as a “termite” inspection, is a low-cost add-on that we suggest with almost every home inspection. As many people already know, termites and other wood-boring organisms can cause extensive damage if not identified and treated early on. Our inspectors are trained to look for signs of previous treatment, as well as signs of an infestation of other insects including

  • Live Insects
  • Galleries or “Tunnels”
  • Mud Tubes
  • Droppings
  • Wing Shedding
  • Frass
  • Other Evidence of Active Colonies or Expired Infestations

We will carefully examine the interior and exterior of the home, including the attic. When signs of insect damage are present, the wood is probed to determine the extent of damage, if any. An official pest report with treatment and/or prevention recommendations will be provided, in many cases, the same day.

We understand the importance of the integrity of a home and are happy to offer this valuable service in Maryland and Virginia.
