All of our inspectors undergo a rigorous internal training program before they are allowed to inspect for our clients; what this means is our clients are never getting their homes inspected by “fresh-out-of-the-academy” inspectors. Certifications
All of our home inspectors are licensed and insured, as well as certified by the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI). Further, we are also proud to be platinum members of The Ethical Inspectors Community. Aside from home inspections, we have an NRPP certified radon measurement specialist on staff to run our certified radon lab. We also have four MDE accredited lead-based paint professionals on staff—two Maryland Lead Risk Assessors, and two Lead Inspection Technicians—and all of our inspectors are licensed/approved to perform wood-destroying insect (WDI) inspections. In addition to radon, lead, and WDI certifications, we also have several Certified Residential Thermographers, a 203k Consultant, and various other certifications amongst our inspectors which include Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), Log Homes, Mold, and New Construction in Virginia.
Quality
No matter what background or experience a Top To Bottom Services inspector candidate has, he or she must complete a comprehensive onboarding and rigorous training process prior to performing any solo home inspection. This ensures that our highest standards are met for consistency, knowledge, quality, and customer service. The process includes mock inspections, procedural, technical, and technological training, ride-alongs and hands-on field training with senior inspectors. Not everyone makes the cut! In addition to the state-required continuing education courses needed to maintain their licenses, Top To Bottom Services hosts mandatory weekly inspector trainings—many of which are approved for CE credits—to keep our inspectors at the forefront of the industry.
